Ohhh but wait.  There's that moment of "OMG I will see Loghain" and then later... the WTF moment of who you will sacrifice.  For me, it was not much of a choice.  Sorry, Hawke.  I'd rather kill myself than Loghain.  Next time, I played through with default world settings.  LOL
